I've us postage old stamps round or oval .I can't find them in the catalogue.... are they valuable of just good for the bin ?

I've us postage old stamps round or oval .I can't find them in the catalogue.... are they valuable of just good for the bin ?

these are what are known as 'cut squares' from embossed stamp envelopes, usually found in the scott catalog, back of the book. the ones cut to shape are probably not worth very much at all. and the other two are difficult to evaluate as many die varieties exist along with paper color/watermark varieties as well. perhaps, only a few dollars at best. i will have to consult my u.s. specialized catalog for more information.

some more research shows the two cut squares on the left to as follows:

top is two possible numbers:
U116a dark blue on orange $.40 used
W120a dark blue on manilla $8.00 used

U311 green on white $.20 used

values given in u.s. dollars.

the others are worth only a few cents due to being cut to shape.
